Did We Land on The Moon?

I decided against watching the Did We Land on The Moon? documentary last night, and reading the posts on Twitter makes me very glad that I didn’t. There is no question that man went to the moon. From equipment left at the launch site to the mirrors which have since been used in important scientific testing, there are tons of man-made objects on the moon – which is enough to prove that we did on its own. Any suggestion that we didn’t is based on a misunderstanding of the basics of photography, a misunderstanding of basic physics and an inability to do even the most fundamental fact checking about the Apollo missions. For anyone who still needs convincing, Phil Plait did a most excellent breakdown of a similar Fox program from a few years back. I’m guessing the arguments made were largely the same.
