Sega Pluto, anyone?

In 12 hours time, someone out there will be the proud owner of a Sega Pluto. What’s a Sega Pluto, i hear you ask? Well, it’s essentially a redesigned Saturn shell that combined both the Saturn console and the network peripheral in one device. Apparently there are only two of these in existence, which possibly why the thing’s currently selling at just shy of £10,000 – even with a broken CD lid.

Anyone fancy a flutter?

You have to feel sorry for Sega: A quick look at the network services available on the Xbox and Playstation reveal they were definitely on the right lines with this and the Dreamcast, they were just a couple of years too early. Ho hum.
